More important concerns than health care

Dear President Barack Obama,

Greetings! I hope that you and the loved ones are in good health! How is your spirit on this glorious day? I am writing to you on this glorious day that the Lord has made to ask for your help. There are pressing concerns and needs in this country and in the world that need your attention and help. Health care may be important, but there are other concerns/needs that are more important. We should be more concerned with the problems of abortion, poverty (both spiritual and physical), and justice reform that is needed. Abortion is the destruction of life - life given as a gift from the Lord. There is too much poverty in the United States (and in the world) that should be receiving more of our efforts and attention. Also, there needs to be major justice reform here in the United States.

There are other concerns/problems that should be tackled before (ahead of) health care reform. Nuclear proliferation and the excessive amounts of nuclear weapons worldwide should be looked into also ahead of health care reform. Also, national security/defense issues should be looked at and should be receiving more of our efforts and attention.

As someone who has lived out on the streets, gone without eating, been without work, lived without insurance, and lived long periods of time on one or two meals a day I can tell you that poverty is a more pressing need in this country today than health care reform. Also, the spiritual poverty in this country is a major concern - one of the reasons that there are so many abortions in this country today. Abortion is not health care - abortion is the destruction of life.

I hope and pray that you and the other leaders will devote more time and effort to help stop abortions, to help alleviate poverty (both spiritual and physical), to help reform our justice system to provide proper justice to all. Thank you very much for all your help!
