Re:  Should I try to deposit the tax refund checks that I believe are correct? /  tax refund request form A-3730 for tax years 1997 – 2011/fax sent to Mr. Joe Peluso on 2/19/13 @ 1-609-633-2681

Dear Mr. Joe Peluso,

Greetings!!!  I hope that you and the loved ones are in good health.  I received refund checks for tax years 1997 – 2011 and had questions on some of them.  I called on 2/19/13, and before I could tell you about the problem you stated that I should write to you about it (which I have already done so, and I have written to Assistant Director Michele Bartolomei also).  It appears that I was receiving more than I should on six checks, and on tax year 2011, I was receiving less than I should.  I am sorry to bother you again about this matter before hearing from you, but my sister believes that it would be alright to try and cash the checks that I believe are correct (refunds for tax years 1997, 1998, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010).  Please let me know as soon as possible (I have been trying to get justice from a process that was started over 15 months ago).

I believe that the following checks for the corresponding tax years were in error:

                $571.24 for tax year 1999  ..... should be $531.24

                $515.29 for tax year 2000 ..... should be $475.29

                $471.96 for tax year 2001 ..... should be $431.96

                $1,051.54 for tax year 2002 ..... should be $1,001.54

$984.35 for tax year 2003 .....should be $934.35

                $921.36 for tax year 2004 ..... should be $871.36

                $72.47 for tax year 2011 ..... should be $500.00

All of the above checks are either $40 or $50 too much, except for tax year 2011.  For tax year 2011, I'd paid the State of New Jersey $500 (check #4347), but only got $72.47 back.  Also, as stated previously, I had trouble with a check that the NJ Div. of Revenue had issued because it was issued in the old terminated corporation name (with my name below the corp. name and after attn:), and the bank refused to deposit it, and it had to be sent back and a new check had to be issued in my name, and that is why I had requested (to you and Assistant Director Michele Bartolomei) that any and all checks had to be issued in my name.  I did not attempt to cash or deposit any of the most recent checks sent to me by the Div. of Taxation, but did notice part of the old terminated corp. name appear on the checks along with my name listed below the corp. name.
Thanks for all your help.  Hope you have a joyous and peaceful day.  May the good Lord, our Creator Lord, bless you and the loved ones with blessings upon blessings!!!

Sincerely,
