Re: Should I try to deposit the tax refund checks that I believe are correct? / tax refund
request form A-3730 for tax years 1997 – 2011/fax sent to Mr. Joe Peluso on 2/19/13

Dear Assistant Director Michele Bartolomei,
Greetings on this glorious day!! I hope that you and the loved ones are
in good health. I'd received refund checks for tax
years 1997 – 2011 and had questions on some of them and have written to you prior than this. I'd
called Mr. Joe Peluso on 2/19/13, and before I could explain the problem Mr. Peluso stated that I should
write to him about it (which I did). It appears that I was receiving
more than I
should on six checks, and on tax year 2011, I was receiving less than I
should. I am sorry to bother you about this again, but my sister believes that it would be alright to try and cash the checks that I believe are correct (refunds for tax years 1997, 1998, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010). Please let me know as soon as possible (I have been trying to get justice in this process that was started over 15 months ago!).
I believe that
the following checks for the corresponding tax years were in error:
$571.24
for tax year 1999 ..... should be $531.24
$515.29
for tax year 2000 ..... should be $475.29
$471.96
for tax year 2001 ..... should be $431.96
$1,051.54
for tax year 2002 ..... should be $1,001.54
$984.35
for tax year 2003 .....should be $934.35
$921.36
for tax year 2004 ..... should be $871.36
$72.47
for tax year 2011 ..... should be $500.00
All of the above checks are either $40 or $50 too much,
except for tax year 2011. For
tax year
2011, I'd paid the State of New Jersey $500 (check #4347), but only got
$72.47
back. Also, as stated previously, I had trouble with a check that the
NJ Div. of Revenue had issued because it was issued in the old
terminated corporation name (with my name below the corp. name and after
attn:), and the bank refused to deposit it, and it had to be sent back
and a new check had to be issued in my name, and that is why I had
requested (to you and to Mr. Joe Peluso) that any
and all checks had to be issued in my name. I did not attempt to cash
or deposit any of the most recent checks sent to me by the Div. of
Taxation, but did notice part of the old terminated corp. name appear on the
checks along with my name listed below the corp. name.
Thanks for all
your help. Hope you have a joyous and
peaceful day. May the good Lord, our
Creator Lord, bless you and the loved ones immensely!!!
Sincerely,
Ken Miller
