Please help spread the word! Between 2002 - 2012 roughly $3.9 billion was given to Planned Parenthood by the governments within the United States!

Below is an article from LifeLine, Summer 2014 Newsletter of the National Pro-Life Alliance.  It is posted here at no charge - no financial gain, or any other kind of gain will be received or has been received.  It is posted in the hope of furthering the kingdom of God!

NPLA Members Lead Charge to End Tax-Funding of Abortion
No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act Passes House

As readers of LifeLine know, National Pro-Life Alliance members and other pro-lifers continue to gain ground in their battle to end taxpayer funding for abortion.

Thanks to pressure from NPLA members and other pro-lifers nationwide, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 7, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act this past January.

This bill would establish a permanent, government-wide policy against directly or indirectly using tax dollars for abortion.

And it would stop tax subsidies for health plans that cover abortion.

Now NPLA members are building on momentum from this victory in the House to press for action on the parallel Senate version, S. 946, sponsored by Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS).

Of course, NPLA members have long known Senator Wicker for his leadership on the Life at Conception Act.

Pressure Mounts to Pass No
Taxpayer Funding for
Abortion Act in Senate

NPLA Executive Director Jenni Harris said, "Now that the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act has made it through the House, it is time to force the Senate to act."     The National Pro-Life Alliance is currently working with Senator Wicker and other pro-life Senators to force a vote in the Senate to put politicians on record on tax moneys for abortionists.

Senator Wicker's bill has already obtained 26 Senate cosponsors.

NPLA members and pro-lifers have rallied behind this bill because it will save in the tens of thousands of lives.

The pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute even admitted that cutting off tax dollars could cut abortions by as much as 34%.

Restrictions Currently on the
Books Inadequate to Protect
Pro-Life Taxpayers

"With public opinion on our side," notes Jenni Harris, "pro-lifers can stop taxpayer funding of abortion by letting politicians know that voting for tax subsidies for abortion will have severe political consequences."

"The abortion lobby will not give up their power, or taxpayers' money, without a fight."

Passage of the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act is needed in order to close legislative loopholes that enable abortion providers to both slaughter the innocent and enrich themselves at taxpayers' expense.

Congress attempted to stop the flow of tax dollars to abortion providers with the passage of the Hyde Amendment in 1976, yet pro-abortion bureaucrats and politicians found ways to skirt the law using simple bookkeeping tricks.

Bill Would Stop Planned
Parenthood's $540 Million-A-
Year Taxpayer Handout

As a result of the loopholes in the Hyde Amendment, abortion providers, like the nation's largest abortion chain Planned Parenthood, unabashedly brag about the economic boom that taxpayer funding gives them.

In the last two years, Planned Parenthood has received a record of over $1 billion in direct taxpayer subsidies to promote their agenda - resulting in a record number of unborn babies killed by them.

According to Jenni Harris, "Planned Parenthood, in turn, uses that money for overhead and salaries, freeing up more cash to perform abortions, lobby for yet more taxpayer funding, fight state and federal pro-life initiatives and support radical pro-abortion candidates."

ObamaCare Sneaks Even
More Tax Dollars to Abortion
Industry

Collectively, American taxpayers, including pro-lifers, have sent a total of almost 6.8 billion tax dollars to Planned Parenthood since 1964.

With the passage of the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, Congress can stop America's tax money from supporting the abortion industries' grisly trade.

The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act is especially necessary in order to block additional funding to abortion providers through ObamaCare.

Of course, when the ObamaCare debate came to the forefront in 2009, NPLA President Martin Fox and other pro-lifers immediately warned about the threat Obama's legislation posed to the unborn.

In fact, Section 10503 of the ObamaCare Bill carved out seven billion dollars for "community health centers."

Taxpayer subsidies for so-called "community health centers" is one deceitful way that ObamaCare uses to slip taxpayer dollars to the pro-abortion movement.

While these tax dollars flow freely to abortion clinics, real lifesaving organizations like Crisis Pregnancy Centers that offer free ultrasounds and adoption assistance need not apply.

With the budget deficit soaring and Americans increasingly fed up with ObamaCare's taxpayer funding for abortion, Harris is calling on members to double down on the pressure to end taxpayer funding for abortion.

Since politicians are always the most receptive to their constituents while they are out seeking votes, the upcomiing mid-term election offers pro-lifers a great opportunity to persuade their candidates to come out strongly against taxpayer funding for abortion.

Mid-term Elections Give Pro-
Life Movement Opportunity to
Gain Ground

"When NPLA members put politicians on record, one of two things happen: either pro-lifers will stop the flow of tax dollars to the abortionists' bloody trade, or we will expose a whole pack of wolves in sheep's clothing, making them vulnerable to defeat in their next election

"The only way pro-lifers can lose is by doing nothing," advises Harris.

Millions of Tax Dollars to
Abortion Lobby Annually
