They Are Us . . . .
The Bible
contains hundreds of passages on the topics of social justice and service to
the poor. In Proverbs 31, there is a particular verse expressing justice
for the poor that instructs people to speak up for the needy. It says
that, judging righteously and fairly, we should defend and protect the rights
of the impoverished, and help the neglected or forsaken.
Many times, however, the homeless, the infirm, the destitute, the
addicted, and the abandoned are treated instead with scorn. They are
often judged harshly for the choices or mistakes they "must have
made," and accused of "inviting their own misery."
I have
become a mockery to them;
when they see
me, they shake their heads.
Help me, LORD, my God;
save me in your mercy. (Ps 109:25-26)
If
not scorned, the downtrodden are often simply ignored. Issues surrounding
marginalized individuals are easily categorized as a "them"
problem. And if it is not an "us" problem, then we find it easy
to be detached. Dispassionate and even disinterested in their plight, the
neediest among us become the ones we scarcely speak of, let alone speak for.
The reality is, they are us: children of God. We have brothers and sisters who are poor and sick and downcast, living a daily, voiceless existence in the shadows. Scripture clearly shows that God has a heart for the poor; and He continually asks us to speak on their behalf. Missionhurst-CICM missionaries aspire to speak for such people. We aspire to bring the Good News to those obscured and marginalized people and places. We are speaking for them and with them through initiates and interventions that you, our benefactors, make possible with your support.

The following is an article from Impact September 2015, A Magazine and Devotional of D. James Kennedy Ministries, on pg. 27 in an article entitled "If a Man Will Not Work..."
If a Man Will Not Work...
His master
answered, "You wicked and slothful servant!"
- Matthew 25:26
Paul minces no
words about loafers: "For when we were with you, we commanded you that
if any will not work, neither shall he eat" (2Thessalonians
3:10). You would have to listen a long time before you heard those words
today. The Apostle knew that man inclines toward evil and so he inclines
toward idleness and laziness. A man will avoid all opportunities to work
if he can, but the Apostle makes it clear that if a man will not work, he is
not to eat.
This does not refer to a person who is not able to work. The
Scripture has a great deal to say about caring for the lame, the blind, the
sick, the infirm, the aged, and the young. But if anyone will not
work, then neither let him eat.
Because of the prevailing politics of guilt, most people will feel
a twinge of guilt when they hear those words, as if they were words without
compassion. May I say to you that this is the most compassionate
statement on the subject of economics that has ever been made. Were it
not to a large degree followed, there would be wholesale famine and starvation
plaguing the world. So let it be underscored and proclaimed in bold and capital
letters: IF ANY WILL NOT WORK, NEITHER LET HIM EAT.

Also, something to ponder: How has our government, by its policies, rules, and regulations, stifled our country so that those that want to work are not able to get work? I have been unemployed, or under employed, in the last 19 years, not because I didn't want to work, but only because GOD knows why. There have been things the government has done in my lifetime that is not caring or compassionate to the poor, or working poor! Do any of the bad decisions, or bad rules, or regulations, or laws that the government has made or imposed, have any effect on a person's chance of getting a job nowadays? How about the racism and Anti-Semitism that still prevails in this nation, and throughout the world today? Let's call on our government to reverse its bad decisions, repeal bad laws, rules, regulations that have hurt the poor, and the working poor! Let's call on our Creator Lord, to help us help repeal, or change all the bad laws, rules, and regulations that exist in this country today, and in the future, if need be!!! Also, is someone's chances of getting work being reduced by employers that are greedy? Also, let's not forget the Scriptures of Galatians 5:15, Galatians 5:20, Galatians 5:26, Colossians 2:8 and others.

Dear Senator Cory Booker,
Greetings on this glorious day the Lord has made! Each new day the good
Lord gives us is glorious! I hope that you and the loved ones are in good
health and are getting along. Good health is such a wonderful
blessing from the good Lord, our Creator Lord! Please remember that we
humans are created by our Creator Lord, in HIS image, for HIS glory! I am
writing to you on this glorious day to ask for your help. The national
debt continues to climb and the U.S. Budget continues to run at deficits.
Money to pay day down the national debt and/or to pay off the interest is in
the hundreds of billions of dollars, and we continue see the economic toll (not
to mention the moral, social, and political disaster it has been to the nation)
that legalized abortion has done to our country. Has the economic toll
that legalized abortion has brought upon this country been over $10
trillion??? Has the economic toll throughout the world that legalized
abortion has brought been over $110 trillion??? The economic toll
will continue to rise while we have an abortion-on-demand policy here in
the United States.
Please help turn the country around. The biggest thing to turn the United
States around would be to protect life from conception on. Life is a gift
from the Lord, and it is precious. Also, we shouldn't continue to borrow
and continue to run deficits in the U.S. Budget. The national debt should
be paid down. We don't want to be slaves to our lenders. The Holy
Scriptures tell us about our Creator Lord, and how we should worship HIM and
HIS Beloved Son Jesus with all our heart, soul, mind, and body, and how we
humans are created by our Creator Lord, in HIS image, for HIS glory, and how we
should value human life, and how we should protect and support life, and how we
shouldn't be slaves to our lenders and that we should good stewards with money,
and how our Creator Lord loves us so much that he sent His only Begotten Son
Jesus into this world to shed His blood and to die on a cross for us sinners,
so that we might have eternal life! The Holy Scriptures are pure,
perfect, powerful, profitable for doctrine and teaching, and cannot be
broken! Our Creator Lord is faithful! Our Creator Lord
is true! Our Creator Lord cannot lie! Our Creator Lord can
be taken at His Word! Jesus is the Word of God! Our Creator
Lord is good! Our Creator Lord is good all the time!!! Our
Creator Lord is LOVE!
Please help turn the country around by ending an abortion-on-demand policy,
paying down the national debt, and ending deficits in the budget.
Something has to be done to help turn the country around!

Barack Obama,
Greetings on this glorious day! I hope and pray that all is well!
Good health is such a wonderful blessing from the good Lord, our Creator
Lord! I am posting this blog on this glorious day to ask for your
help. Please help fight back against racism and the misuse of power
throughout this country today! I seek your help in getting Congressional
approval and the United States Justice Department to get more actively involved
with alleged racist actions and alleged misuse of power here in the United
States. Please read below what the US Justice Department could possibly
do to combat racism.
Request for the United States Justice Department to take further action into police's misuse of power:
Over the years there have been many (too many) reports of possible, or outright, racist actions on the part of police officers throughout the United States. As someone that was born in 1956 and have heard of many reports but nowhere near the actual amount of racist actions that have occurred, these reports show that there is still racism within some police departments, as well as throughout the country. I'm sure the vast majority of the public would agree that even one racist act by a police officer is one too many (unless you a racist). One racist police officer is one too many police officer! This is a justice issue. Let's take steps to remove racist police officers from the force! Not just police departments are affected by racism, and I don't want to single out just police departments, but the United States Justice Department could make a giant step into looking into actions of some police officers, and maybe the departments as a whole, and take appropriate action to help eliminate (fire) racist police officers. This would probably take Congressional action to give the investigative committees authority to remove officers from the police force and / or impose fines, or any other remedy called out for by the committee. Below is a suggestion for the U.S. Justice Department:
The U.S. Justice Department should institute 85 - 95 investigative committees, with each committee consisting of 41 members. Those looking into allegations of misuse of power by police officers (the investigative committees) should be mostly made up of African-Americans, let say 36 members, and the other 5 members from other races. They should thoroughly look into any allegation of misuse of power (not necessarily only racist actions), concentrating first on where there has been more allegations. The committees should be able to either refer the officer for prosecution plus removal from the police force (let's say, a minimum of ten years), remove the officer from the force (let's say for a minimum of 8 years), just fine and/or reprimand the officer, or refer for further investigation. This could be one step the Justice Dept. could take. They could also look into the misuse of power by other places where, unfortunately, racism and /or misuse of power exists (fire departments, ambulance departments, the court system, etc.).
One thing for sure, with the membership of the investigative committees made up with 36 members of African-Americans, the alleged acts of misuse of power would be thoroughly looked into, and not swept under the rug! Also, once started, the investigative committees would have a profound effect within police departments and other places where racism exist! There is racism in this country, and I am afraid that a lot of white people think that there is very little racism in the country today (not that we should ever end working to end racism). Only the good Lord knows how much racism, or Anti-Semitism, exists in this country, or throughout the world today!

U.S. Justice Department should institute investigative committees to look into allegations of misuse of power by police / police departments throughout the country, starting with where there have been the most allegations.
Each committee consists of 41 members:

Let's say, that with 37 committee members concurring, a police officer would be removed from the force for a minimum of 10 years and referred for prosecution of criminal acts.
Let's say, that with 33 committee members concurring, a police officer would be removed from the force for a minimum of 8 years.
Let's say, that with 27 members concurring, fines of up to $15,000 could be imposed upon a police office and / or an official reprimand given.
Let's say, that with 24 members concurring, the committee could refer the investigation back for further review.

We struggle
not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places.
Dear family, friends, and all others concerned about justice, mercy, peace, and love,
Greetings on this glorious day! I hope that you and the loved ones are in good health and are getting along. Good health is such a blessing from the good Lord, our Creator Lord! Good health is such a wonderful blessing from our Creator Lord!!! How is your spirit on this glorious day? Please remember that we humans are created by our Creator Lord, in HIS image, for HIS glory! Also, please remember that we humans are more than flesh and blood, and that we struggle against principalities, forces of darkness, and wickedness in high places (not flesh and blood). Some people like to talk about choices, but some things are not up to choosing. I didn't choose to be kidnapped, I didn't choose to be raped, or robbed, or harassed, or not given justice. Some things are not seen - there is a supernatural, and those that ignore it, or deny it, are losing out on Jesus' help, love, comfort, and hope! God is love, and love always protects.
Please don't over simplify, or avoid the tough tests, or trials - call on the name of Jesus!!! There is evil, and God is good!!! Love does not delight in evil. Love rejoices in the truth. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It is our Heavenly Father's good pleasure to give us the kingdom. Love always trusts. Love does not delight in evil. Love rejoices in the truth. Jesus is here, always here, to comfort, to love, to give us wisdom, and to give us hope!!! Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ Jesus.
The Holy Scriptures tell us about our Creator Lord, and how we humans are created by our Creator Lord, in His image, and how we should value life, and how we should protect and support life, and how our Creator Lord loves us that He sent His only begotten Son Jesus into this world to shed His blood and to die for us sinners, so that we might have eternal life!!! The Holy Scriptures are pure, perfect, powerful, profitable for doctrine, and cannot be broken!!! Our Creator Lord is love! Love is patient. Love is kind. Love does not envy.
Please put all your hope in Jesus. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Thank you for all your help. Hope that you and the loved ones have a joyous and peaceful day. May the good Lord, our loving, gracious, merciful Father, bless you and the loved ones immensely!
