A question and a point of clarification!

Dear Dawn Apgar,

Greetings on this glorious day! I hope that you and the loved ones are in good health. Good health is such a blessing from the good Lord, our Creator Lord! How is your spirit on this glorious day? Please remember that we humans are more than flesh and blood! I am writing to you about your letter dated 7/28/11, and about a previous question that I'd wanted to know about. I'm sorry to bother you about this.

I'd asked if there was a law already on the books that would require caretaker agencies (Willowglen Academy, SCARC, etc.) to take individuals to the doctor if they don't receive a minimum amount of sleep over a course of time (how many hours of sleep would be required, and over how long of a course of time the quantity of sleep that they're receiving I really don't know - for instance should the law state that a developmentally disabled individual that had not received 32.5 - 35 hours of sleep over a course of five days shall be required to see a doctor within the next three days to determine if there is a medical reason for lack of sleep). Also, I want to make it clear that presently I work for SCARC, and have never seen an individual kept up late(or later) in the evening in the hopes that the individual will wake up at 5:30 am, 6:00 am, or later, in the morning (when this was being done at another agency some of the individuals would only receive 5 or 5 1/2 hours of sleep - fairly consistently - each evening). If there isn't such a law on the books, then please let me know if Governor Chris Christie would support the enactment of such a law.

Thank you very much for all your help. Hope that you and the loved ones have a joyous and peaceful day. May the good Lord, our Creator Lord, bless you and the loved ones with blessings upon blessings!

Sincerely,

P.S. I'd written to state representatives about the law, and the question about what the current law is, and have not received a reply as of yet.
