Sanctity of Life Act Would Deny Judicial Review on Abortion
Pro-Life Alliance Members Go on the Offense Against Judicial Tyranny

National Pro-Life Alliance members have long led the fight to legislatively overturn Roe v. Wade and end abortion-on-demand by passing the Life at Conception Act.

To strengthen those efforts, last year the National Pro-Life Alliance launched an additional, complementary attack on Roe v. Wade to remove jurisdiction over abortion-related cases from the Supreme Court and lower federal courts.

Since the abortion lobby has never been able to win popular support for their radical abortion-on-demand agenda, long ago they turned to the judiciary to implement their agenda.

Beginning with Roe v. Wade in 1973, the abortion lobby has received the aid and cover of federal judges who invent "rights" to protect the abortionists' grisly trade.

That is why NPLA members have been leading the fight against judicial activism by mobilizing support behind the Sanctity of Life Act (H.R. 2764), introduced by Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX).

Judicial Activism Continues
to Be a Major Obstacle to
Pro-Life Progress

Members voted overwhelmingly in the most recent Membership Directive to keep the fight against judicial tyranny among the National Pro-Life Alliance's top priorities.

While federal courts are notorious for striking down pro-life legislation at both the state and national level, this bill would establish that "both state and national government have the authority to protect lives of unborn children by stripping judges of the power to strike down pro-life laws."

As National  Pro-Life Alliance President Martin Fox points out, "unelected federal judges have struck down scores of popular attempts to protect unborn life for over 40 years, and continue to do so."

Congress Potentially Holds
Authority to Check Pro-
Abortion Judiciary

The Sanctity of Life Act would remove the judicial roadblock to meaningful pro-life legislation.

"For years pro-lifers have been frustrated by the courts striking down even the most modest measures to protect the unborn.

"But most Americans don't realize that Congress has the constitutional authority to not only define when life begins, which is the basis for the Life at Conception Act, but also to limit the authority of the courts in order to bring an end to this pro-abortion tyranny," Fox continued.

The basis fir this authority is found in Article III, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, which states: "The Supreme Court shall have appellate jurisdiction, both as to law and fact, with such exceptions, and under such regulations as Congress shall make."

Clearly, this allows for Congress to limit the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court as it deems fit.

And where the lower federal courts are concerned, the Constitution explicitly grants Congress full authority over them.

As Article III, Section 1 states, "the judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.

Losing Battle After Battle
Abortion Lobby Seeks Cover
Behind Pro-Abortion Judges

Ironically, the Founding Fathers always intended the judiciary to be the weakest branch of government.

They certainly did not design the judiciary with the current state of affairs in mind, where judges routinely legislate from the bench and enact policy as they seem fit.

Yet activist judges have used the court-created precedent of Roe v. Wade to block enforcement of scores of pro-life protections passed by elected legislators.

Even the so-called "National Abortion Rights Action League" (NARAL) had to admit that after their lobbying efforts had failed to win passage of any significant pro-abortion legislation.

So they had to rely on judicial edicts to block parental notification laws, late-term abortion restrictions and seven state ultrasound laws.

NPLA Member Petitions Make
a Difference

As this issue of LifeLine goes to press, the National Pro-Life Alliance has gathered more than half a million petitions in favor of ending judicial tyranny in just the last year alone.

And the Sanctity of Life Act continues to gain new sponsors.

"A showdown between the courts and Congress has long been brewing and it's time that the people assert themselves," states Fox.

"That's why, in conjunction with our continued efforts to pass a Life at Conception Act to legislatively overturn Roe v. Wade, National Pro-Life Alliance members are mobilizing a grass-roots effort to strip the courts of jurisdiction over abortion by passing a Sanctity of Life Act," according to Fox.

"Congress Has the Authority
to Halt Pro-Abortion Judicial
Activism -- Use It"

Fox states: "It is important that pro-lifers from coast to coast who are fed up with activist pro-abortion judges dictating the country's abortion policy bring maximum pressure to bear on Congress to assert its constitutional authority not only to pass a Life at Conception Act but also to rein in the courts once and for all."

National Pro-Life Alliance President Martin Fox is encouraging members to contact their Congressmen at (202) 224-3121 to urge them to cosponsor the Sanctity of Life Act (H.R. 2764) to stop pro-abortion judicial activism.

Let's seek justice for the unborn children - the pre-born children!!!! We are restored with our Creator Lord because of Jesus' righteousness!!

The Holy Scriptures tell us about our Creator Lord, and how we humans are created by our Creator Lord, in HIS image, for HIS glory, and how we should worship our Creator Lord and HIS Beloved Son Jesus with all our heart, soul, mind, and body, and how we should value life, and how we should protect and support human life, and how our Creator Lord loves us that HE sent HIS only Begotten Son Jesus into this World to shed HIS blood and to die on a cross for us sinners, so that we might have eternal life!  The Holy Scriptures are pure, perfect, powerful, profitable for doctrine and teaching, and cannot be broken!  Our Creator Lord is faithful!  Our Creator Lord is true!  Our Creator Lord cannot lie!  Our Creator Lord can be taken at HIS Word!  Jesus is the Word of God!  Our Creator Lord is good!  Our Creator Lord is good all the time!  Our Creator Lord is LOVE!

The Scriptures were given to the Jew first, and then the Gentiles.
