Safer vehicles make for better vehicles!!! Come on GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, Toyota, Tesla, and others - please, please make safer vehicles!!!

I am writing to you for help. I would like those at General Motors to consider designing and making safer vehicles - because safer vehicles make for better vehicles. Not that GM hasn’t tried to make safer vehicles, but some additional use of technology could go a long way to improving the safety of vehicles - both for those inside the vehicle and those outside the vehicle. Please consider having the design of vehicles use the advances in technology to do the following: Safer vehicles make better vehicles With technology being more advanced in 2024 than 40 years ago, now is the time to push for safer made vehicles. This could be accomplished in three years. Some of the improvements should be: Make the vehicles unable to start if the driver is impaired by marijuana, alcohol, or other drugs Start to require all new vehicles to have back-up cameras. Start to require all new vehicles to have front positioned cameras Start to require all new vehicles to have sensors on all sides of the vehicle Remember: safer vehicles make for better vehicles. These four improvements could save tens of thousands of lives and who knows how many dollars in a year. Thank you very much for all your help!
